From Dieppe we are approximately a 7 hours drive and approximately 8 ½ from Calais. Castres is situated between two motorways - A75 to Montpelier and the A20 to Toulouse.
From Montpelier take N113 to Beziers and then N112 to Castres. Castres is well sign posted from Beziers and it is approximately an hours drive. The N112 takes you through the centre of Mazamet where you join the D612 to Castres, and from there it is a 20 minute drive to Burlats.
From Mazamet on D612 you will pass through a couple of small villages, Augmontel and Valdurenque. As you enter Castres you will pass Geant Supermarket, after this you must turn right at the second set of traffic lights, this will take you though the back of the army barracks. At the top of the road is a roundabout, take second turning signposted Brassac, Roquecourbe. Follow this road to the next roundabout, on the left is a supermarket called Super U, again take the second turning sign posted Brassac and Burlats. At the end of this road you will come to a set of traffic lights, turn right. You will then need to drive for approx. 5 minutes and you will then enter the village of Burlats, pass by the first 10/15 houses of the village and there is then a gap, the next house you see on your right is Okalani.
From Toulouse When leaving airport follow the signs to Albi/Montpelier (blue). These will then lead you to the signs for Castres, take Castres Peage (not Castres par RN). You will need 1.20 euro for the machine. This road will take you straight to Castres via a town called Puylaurens. When you reach Castres you will go past Auchun Supermarket on your left, carry on along this road until you come to a roundabout with McDonald's on your right. At this roundabout follow Mazamet/Beziers (green signs), this will take you on to a fast road, follow this and take the 3rd exit (C30) to Lagarigue/labrugiere (La Siala). You will go over a couple of roundabouts and will finally reach a large roundabout, at this one take the third exit, Castres and you will see Decathlon and Geant supermarket on your right. Carry along on this road and at the second set of traffic lights turn right (direction Brassac), this will take you through army barracks, at the top of the road you will come to a roundabout, take the 2nd exit signposted Brassac. Straight along this road to the next roundabout, Super U on your left again take the 2nd exit, this is the first sign for Burlats. Straight ahead on this road until you come to some traffic lights, hotel on the right corner, turn right and follow the river until you come to Burlats. You will pass the first houses of Burlats and then come to a gap, we are the first house after the gap. Okalani Chambres d'hotes - 15 Route de Castres.
By Air
We are a 1 hour drive from both Carcassonne and Toulouse Airports.
Flights into Carcassonne, Rodez and Perpignan are daily with RyanAir from Stanstead, Car hire in France is available from all three above airports.
British Airways fly into Toulouse from Gatwick. BA & Easyjet fly from Gatwick and Flybe from Southampton. All the main car hire companies operate out of Toulouse Airport. There is also a bus and train service into Castres, please call for details.
Castres does have its own airport with daily flights from Lyon and Paris.
