Fishing Holiday South France with Bed and Breakfast

Fishing in the Tarn is very varied, ranging from river to lakes.

Whether its fly fishing or course fishing that interests you Burlats/Castres and the surrounding areas are a great place for fishing. Fly fishing on the River Agout for Trout and course fishing on the mountain lakes for Sandre and Pike - all can be accommodated.

Okalani is situated on the banks of the River Agout and we have our own piece of river bank for our guests to fish from.

This is what a recent guest has to say about the local fishing....

"As an enthusiastic carp fisherman from England, I can say that I have landed on my feet. The River Agout runs at the bottom of the garden here at Okalani and is allegedly one of the best stretches of trout fishing. Ten minutes away is a large lake and on my first visit I caught 5 carp and 2 tench in about 3 hours, all the carp were over 10 lbs. It is also possible to catch pike in the surrounding mountain lakes."
Boilies are widely used and baits like larvae and worm can be bought in most supermarkets. There is a large fishing shop which stocks everything and it is only a five minute drive away."

If you want to fish you must have a fishing permit, these are available locally, but a passport photograph is needed. The cost for a holiday permit is approximately 20 Euro and this covers fishing in all waters throughout the Tarn. Permits can be arranged on your behalf if you give us enough notice and send through a photograph.
