Not far from our bed and breakfast or chambres d'hotes is Mazamet, perched high on the lower slopes of the Montagane Noire (Black Mountains) within the National Park of Haute Languedoc is the very busy market town of Mazamet.
Markets are held every Tuesday and Saturday, with the occasional Fois Gras Market visiting on Sunday's. With great shopping in the town centre and a lively mix of restaurants and bars, Mazamet is a friendly town to visit.
Mazamet is only a 20 minute drive from the chambres d'hotes and the drive through the mountains to get there is beautiful.
